He began training in acting in 2006. From 2006 to 2010, he trained under the Indian playwright Shahid Anwar as a part of Anwar’s theater group Behroop. His first feature film credit was on Ode to My Father (2014). He made his main cast debut as Abdul Ali on Netflix’s survival drama series Squid Game (2021). He is also famous for Let’s Eat 2(2015), Descendants of the Sun (2016), The Heartbeat Operator (2017), Space Sweepers (2021), and Taxi Driver (2021).
