Bangladesh National Women’s Football Team is the national women’s football team of Bangladesh representing in international football. It is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation under the supervision of the Women’s Football Committee. The team is a member of the Asian Football Confederation and the team is yet to qualify for the World Cup or AFC Women’s Asian Cup finals.
The team made its debut in international football on 29 January 2010, playing a match against Nepal.
Bangladesh national women’s football team won the 2022 SAF Championship trophy as the first ever South Asian football title. Bangladesh beat hosts Nepal 3-1 in the SAFF Championship final on September 19, 2022.

History
Bangladesh played their first home game of the South Asian Federation Games 2010 against Nepal on 29 January 2010, losing 1–0. They played against three other countries, winning two games and losing one, including the infamous 7–0 against India. Their second competition was in their home country at the 2010 SAFF Women’s Championship at the end of the year, but this time in Cox’s Bazar. They exited the tournament with wins against Bhutan and Sri Lanka (2–0 and 9–0) and losses to India and Nepal in the semi-finals.
The team participated in the 2012 SAFF Women’s Championship specifically in Group ‘A’ with hosts Sri Lanka, Bhutan and India. They lost 3–0 and 2–1 to India and Sri Lanka respectively, but won 1–0 to Bhutan thanks to a goal by Prue Sunu in the 19th minute, although the win did not advance Bangladesh to the next round and was thus defeated.

Team image
The bottle green shirts and dark red shorts embedded with red and green stripes are worn by the Bangladesh national football team, reflecting the historic national colors of the country. These colors are derived from the national flag of Bangladesh, with red symbolizing the rising sun over Bengal and the bloodshed during the fight for independence. On the other hand, green represents the fertile land of Bangladesh. Interestingly, the Bangladesh away jersey is completely opposite to their regular one.
