Early life

Bárbara Lennie was born in April 20, 1984 to Argentine parents in  Madrid, Spain. Her father was a book seller and her mother is a housewife. At a very young age she moved with her family to Buenos Aires ( Argentina ), where she lived until she was six years old, and then returned to Spain in 1990. She completed her schooling in her hometown and she is graduated from Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático.

She graduated in Interpretation from the Royal School of Dramatic Art .

Films

She has starred in the films Dictado , All songs talk about me , Women in the park , Obaba , The bicycle , Every day is yours , and More sorrow than glory , which debuted at only fifteen. She also worked on Thirteen Roses , by Emilio Martínez Lázaro, La piel que habito , by Pedro Almodóvar . Her latest works include films such as Magical Girl by Carlos Vermut ,María (and others) by Nely Reguera , Contrastiempo by Oriol Paulo , Oro by Agustín Díaz Yanes , A kind of family by Diego Lerman , Sickness by Ramón Salazar , Petra by Jaime Rosales and El Reino by Rodrigo Sorogoyen .

Television

On television , she made a small role in Águila Roja and joined the fifth season of Amar en tiempos revueltos (2009-2010), in the role of “Rosa Fernández”, an ambitious aspiring actress. 4 In 2012 he was part of the cast of the historical series of TVE , Isabel.

Awards

She was nominated for the Goya Awards for Best New Actress for her role in Obaba in 2005 and double candidate in 2014 for El Niño as Best Supporting Actress and for Magical Girl in the category of Best Leading Actress winning the latter. 2 3 In 2017 he won at the Feroz Awards and chose the Goya Awards for his starring performance in the film Maria (and others).
