Farhana Muna, popularly known as “Munatic” by her viewers is a comedian and women activist who was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and also raised in there till 6th grade.

She makes videos on different topics and upload them on social media. By doing this, she has earned a lot popularity. She is the face behind the various typical Bengali personae she dramatises in her videos while entertaining the masses in Bangladesh and abroad.

Family Members & Education –

Muna’s childhood was split up in two. She was born in Jeddah, the port city of Saudia Arabia. Her father is still working there as an expatriate. She lived with him till she was in sixth grade until the Saudi police mandated that she must be with a female guardian, since she was “coming of age.” Hence she was moved to Dhaka, where her mother lives. She finished the rest of her schooling in Dhaka before going on a hunger strike for 10 days so her parents would let her go to Melbourne, Australia, to pursue higher studies overseas.
She has completed her Bachelor in Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting.

Career –

Her journey on YouTube started on September 26, 2015. She was basically entertaining his sick husband by mimicking typical bengali “bhabi” who reacted quite dramatically to her weight loss at a recent dinner party. He thought it’d be fun to make a video and upload it on Facebook/Youtube. That is how, she started her journey. She took her inspiration from Oprah Winfrey. She grew up on her shows and never failed any of them.
She has been very privileged and blessed to work on a number of projects. She did project with UN Women. UN Women and she collaborated a few times, whether it was making a funny video regarding Covid or female stereotyping.
