After finishing the Good Shepherd School in 2007, he began his career as an actor in television programs such as Pecado original, while the Kailash and Casting on line representation companies were in charge of directing his career.
At the end of 2015 he achieved one of the fixed characters of the series Amar en tiempos revueltos , set in the Spanish post-war period, and in which the first two seasons appear. In it, Jaime Menéndez played Sito Robles, the son of businessman Fabián Robles ( Héctor Colomé ) and Loreto Castillo ( Luisa Gavasa ).
Sito would soon lose his innocence progressively to discover the lies carried out by his father and that caused pain to his sister Andrea (the abduction of her son who eventually separated her from her husband Antonio), and to begin to be attracted to the men, including his best friend (Ángel: Marco Martínez), a seminarian who ends up as coadjutor of a parish.
Successive tragedies and dislikes (the appearance of some committed photos that relate him to a gay boxer, the deaths of his parents, his brother Rodrigo and Tata Elpidia, the flight of Andrea and Antonio to France) sank him while he moved forward the factory marbles of his father.
However his love story with a waiter named Felipe ( Xosé Manuel Esperante ) allowed him to accept his homosexual status while learning to keep up appearances in Franco’s society by marrying his cousin Inés ( Marina Valdés / Carolina Bona). Felipe’s departure leaves him mired in a certain boredom while distancing himself from the positions of the regimen to the point of acting as a mail link with the anti-Francoist resistance; activity by which a policeman (Teo: Raúl Prieto ) will stop him and liquidate him in jail. Sito gives him the image of a young man who is delicate, fragile, who is armed with courage and sinks with sudden rapidity.
Jaime Menéndez combined that work with television commercials (specifically one from Caja Duero) and participations in series such as El comisario , where he played Iván, a young homosexual who liquidated his mother when he discovered the relationships he had with his stepfather.
