29th may a music prodigy was born in Deogarh , Odisha . He was named L. Nitesh Kumar . Music was in his blood : rich and torrential which soaked him right from his early childhood . In fact he was initiated into music by his mother who was also a classical music singer. He loved Bhajan and kirtan singing . Hs started his career by singing in satsang . With this family influence he started learning classical Hindustani music from shri Rajendra Behera ji . he graduated in physics but all along this , his lessons of Classical music did not take a backseat . He was trained under pandit Devendra Narayan Satpathy in Bhubaneswar and Sri Anol Chatterjee in Kolkata . By this time he was so deeply ingrossed In music that he also became an admirer and follower of the well known maestros Mehdi Hassan ,Jagjit Singh ,Ghulam Ali , Mohammed Rafi and Talat Mehmood etc . Most of all he was deeply impressed by Padma shri Anup Jalota ji and Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia ji . The divine bhajan singing of Sri Anup Jalota ji was a turning factor in his life .Instead of completing his post diploma in industrial safety engineering he chose music as his career .

Career
He then realized that guru shishya tradition was the best to learn and master any art , specially music so he became a disciple of Anup Jalota ji . Under Anup Jalota ji’s tutelage L.Nitesh Kumar learnt all the nuances and finesse of music :that’s why he is sometimes called a tape recorder disciple of Anup Jalota ji . L Nitesh Kumarholds a master’s degree in music . Anup Jalota ji invited him to sing with him .Thus Nitesh shared the stage with his guru and then others .All this while he was making a name for himself which he didn’t realize with the humbleness worthy of a great artist . He considered himself lucky to be in the company of his idols . Now he himself had become a singer par excellence . L Nitesh Kumar wants to reach every heart , soul and mind with his music. He says “To reach God one has to immerse oneself in music ,specially devotional music which transfers One into another celestial world : Above the day to day life , music takes a person in the presence of the sublime power ” . To decimate the power of music he performed in more than 1000 stage shows. He is proficient in playing many musical instruments also like tabla , harmonium ,flute , piano etc .

As a result uptil now he has sung for several famous music labels of India like T-series, Shemaroo Music, Times music, World Wide Records, Pen Music, Ultra Music, Gobindas Bhakti etc His soulful and silken voice has put him on a pedestal where he was able to realise the importance of sending the golden rays of music to every mind and soul so he started his own music studio named 9 frequencies where he could compose and program his songs . He also has a record label of his own – 9 frequencies Records This illustrious dinger has a marked expertise in moving his audience from this world to another world of divine atmosphere and then the next moment onto a sensuously rocking platform of love and passion through his glorious ghazal singing .
Currently he is imparting the knowledge of music by teaching in the Gurukul of his guru Anup Jalota ji . He is teaching music online too . During the Covid 19 lock down he kept on doing daily shows online to keep up the morale of his country men. The influence of music on living and non living is his subject of research , hence the subtle polish of his art which keeps people enthralled and mesmerised specially the elderly who feel relaxed while listening to his Bhajans and kirtans .
