Louis Matias Karl Padin Varela, also known as Matias Varela is a Swedish actor of Spanish descent who was born in 23 June 1980 in Stockholm, Sweden and also raised in there. He is best known for his work Narcos (2015), Point Break (2015) and Assassin’s Creed (2016).

Matias Varela is a popular Swedish actor who started his journey at an young age by playing Miguel ‘Mischa’ Santos in Nya tider. He began his career from 2000 when he was 20 years old. In 2010, he played Jorge in Easy Money. He also acted in Easy Money II: Hard to Kill (2012) and Easy Money II: Life Deluxe (2013). He also got the part of Police Detective Jorge Chavez in the big budget TV-series Arne Dahl. In series 2 Alexander Salzberger replaced him. His next film Assassin`s Creed was released in December, 2016. In 2019 he starred in Jesper Ganslandt’s feature film 438 Days alongside Gustaf Skarsgård. In 2020, he became part of an extraordinary HBO Max project directed by Ridley Scott – Raised by Wolves. He portrays Lucius character in Raised by Wolves.
