On August 25, 2019, the Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazaar had a huge demonstration in which they said they would not go to Myanmar unless Myanmar’s citizenship and their Rohingya ethnicity were recognized.
Mahibullah is considered the intellectual head of the protests. Public raises a question to the local people what will they do if they do not return? Besides, it is a matter of concern for the Government of Bangladesh.

Mahibullah is the present chief of the Rohingya individuals of Bangladesh. He has filled in as leader of the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights (ARSPR).
