Career –

Murad Hasan is a Bangladeshi politician and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting. He is a Member of Parliament from Jamalpur-4 constituency in Bangladesh. He has been elected as a Member of Parliament as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the Ninth and Eleventh Parliamentary Elections. He became the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Bangladesh) at the 2016 Cabinet Meeting.

Controversy –

★Murad Hasan made obscene and racist remarks about Jaima Rahman on a Facebook live. Most are not disclosable.
★He attacked another BNP leader on a TV talk show last Saturday. At one stage of the discussion, Murad Hasan commented that former BNP MP Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papia was ‘mentally ill’ and needed ‘treatment’. At that time a heated argument broke out between the two.
★An audio clip has gone viral on social media. In the leaked conversation, the state minister of information threatened to rape actress Mahi as well as bring her to the aid of law enforcement. Throughout the speech some words ‘inaudible’ have been uttered. The topic is now Talk of the Country.
