Rebecca Shafee is a scholar of Bangladesh who was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. On July 24, a clip of the 1993-94 national debate on Bangladesh Television went viral on Facebook. In that two and a half minute clip, a student of Holy Cross School is seen giving a speech in an impeccably beautiful manner. The student’s name is Rebecca Shafee. That video has recently gone viral. The then Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia presented the award at the event.Some people are listening to that video more than once. Although it may seem like an ordinary girl’s school speech, there is magic hidden in her throat. In a two-and-a-half minute speech, the girl says how she has given up one wish after another in her life. The girl explained life in very simple words. She recently completed her postdoctoral training in genetics at the Harvard Medical School and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and is currently a visiting scientist at the Broad.
