Solaiman Shukhon was born into a middle-class family in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. His father served in the Bangladesh Army, but despite this, Shukhon and his four siblings faced many challenges growing up due to the family’s financial struggles. However, Shukhon recognized early on that education was key to breaking out of this cycle.
After completing HSC at Adamjee Cantonment Public School and College, he joined the Bangladesh Naval Academy, serving as a lieutenant from 2000. Despite this successful start to his career, Shukhon felt drawn to the private sector and eventually left the navy to move to Dhaka with very little money.
Determined to further his education and advance his career, Shukhon enrolled in the MBA program at the School of Business Administration at Dhaka University. Upon completing his MBA, he was offered a job at British American Tobacco, where he began to hone his skills as a marketing professional.
Over the years, Shukhon held several high-level positions at various companies, including Banglalink, Elite Mobile, Lamar Smart Solutions, and aamra Networks Ltd. He is currently in charge of a strategic project at aamra Networks Ltd.
Throughout his career, Shukhon has learned valuable life lessons and he began sharing these insights with young people through his video blog. He used Facebook Live to discuss current issues and soon gained a large following, leading to invitations from universities and other organizations to give motivational speeches.
Today, Solaiman Shukhon is recognized as one of the most influential speakers in Bangladesh, with a large and dedicated fanbase on Facebook and YouTube. Determined to advance his career, Shukhon then took on the role of head of market research at Banglalink. In 2013, he moved on to become the head of marketing at Elite Mobile, before taking on the role of business director at aamra Smart Solution in 2015. After leaving aamra Smart Solution, he took on the role of marketing director at aamra Networks Ltd. Currently, he serves as the Chief Public Affairs Officer for Nagad.
