Stephon Peters-Smith, (Born Jul 4, 1998) , in Port Of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago known professionally as Son of Mars, is a rapper, record producer and songwriter. Known for his high energy and 90s styled rhythms. He was Born and raised in the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. He moved to the U.S when he was 17 years old, residing in Columbus IN. Mars initially began gaining underground recognition as an artist following the release of his song “Anakin” off his 2019 EP Son of Mars. His single “Watch Yourself” produced by Ricky Johnson reached over 100,000+ views on Youtube Music. He is currently residing in West New York, New Jersey. Early life

Son Of Mars was born in Trinidad and Tobago and spent most of his childhood there, life there is fast and hard. The country has the second highest crime rate next to Jamaica. At the age of 17 his parents utilized every opportunity they had to move their family to the U.S. Mars was immediately presented to the world at a youthful age, which aided him into the balanced money manager he is today. Graduating High School from Columbus North High School, in Columbus IN.

Career

Beginning

Mars‘ profession has been spread across three distinct fields yet what separates him from others is that he has drawn his life learning every one of the encounters he got along the way and arrived at the top in his vocation. Mars began the excursion of his profession in 2017 by being a piece of the FOG band which would later turn out to be the first record label that signed him.

It was in 2019 that Mars began working for a FOG Records in New York, New York where he turned into a guide and a vital individual from the organization and additionally their lead craftsmen. He was able to pursue both business and music at the highest level. In July of 2020 Mars began working with Grammy nominated producer and engineer Jak Brown in Atlanta GA.

The product is a versatile sound that blends Son of Mars’ Trinidadian roots with the vast number of American cultures that he’d been exposed to and adopted over the years.
