Early life


Sophie Davant was born in May 19, 1963 in France. She grows Cestas , in the region of Graves , in Gironde . After graduating with a degree C, she obtained a Master degree in Applied Foreign Languages (LEA) English-German, Bordeaux, but wants to work in the wine industry. Her boyfriend then encouraged her to write the competition of the Bordeaux Aquitaine Journalism Institute where she returned in 1985 . She did a six-month training. From December 1985, at the age of 22, while she is a student, she presents IUTV Magazine with other students, including Thierry Moreau in February 1986.

Sophie Davant, by her full name Sophie Marie-Lise Davant, comes from a family of scientists. His father, Pierre Davant, professor of biology and researcher at the Institute of Marine Biology of Arcachon, is one of the founders of the SEPANSO (Society for the Study, Protection and Management of Nature in the South -Ouest) and the Banc d’Arguin National Reserve on the Arcachon Basin. His mother is also an academic. She is a member of the CNRS, doing research in the field of cell biology. She also campaigned for parity and abortion. She died in 1983 at 44 years of cancer .

Her grandparents hold the Café de la Gare and run the village school.

Her two grandfathers have marked the sporting life of the youth of the cestad , one offering a training track to fans of rink hockey , the other by launching the mini-basketball school Gazinet in the 1960s .

Marriage life


Sophie Davant married journalist and animator Pierre Sled. The couple has two children, Nicolas born on July 24, 1993 and Valentine born on November 27, 1995 . The couple separated in early 2012.

She was then in a relationship with the French academician and novelist Erik Orsenna from March 2012 to September 2013.
