Spencer X began exploring music as a child. When Spencer was in middle school, he started playing the percussion, trumpet, and bass and started playing the instruments. Spencer got introduced to beatboxing by a close friend at the same time who began beatboxing as the two played tennis. Spencer was fascinated by the skill of beatboxing. He began studying and learning all he could about beatboxing. Then he decided to get started beatboxing by himself.
While in high school, Spencer started getting involved with Hip-hop clubs and also performing.
