Shakib Khan, born as Masud Rana on March 28, 1971, is a Bangladeshi film actor who has gained immense popularity and success in the Bangladeshi film industry. He is considered one of the most bankable actors in Bangladesh, having appeared in over 100 films and won numerous awards for his performances.

Biography


Shakib Khan was born and raised in Narayanganj, Bangladesh. His father Abdur Rab was a government officer and his mother Nurjahan Begum was a housewife. Shakib Khan attended Narayanganj High School and later enrolled at Dhaka College. However, he left college before completing his studies to pursue a career in the film industry.

Shakib Khan made his acting debut in the film “Ananta Bhalobasha” in 1999, directed by Shohanur Rahman Shohan. The film was a commercial success and established Shakib as a rising star in the industry. He went on to appear in several successful films in the following years, including “Hridoyer Kotha”, “Dui Noyoner Alo”, and “Moner Majhe Tumi”.

Shakib Khan’s breakthrough role came in the 2005 film “Swapner Prithibi”, directed by Mohammad Hossain. The film was a huge success at the box office and earned critical acclaim, with Shakib’s performance receiving particular praise. He subsequently appeared in several successful films such as “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini”, “Nabab”, and “Bhaijaan Elo Re”.

Personal Life


Shakib Khan married Apu Biswas, a popular Bangladeshi film actress, in 2008. The couple had a son in 2016, but their marriage ended in a public controversy in 2017 when Apu Biswas revealed that she had secretly married and had a child with another man. Shakib Khan later apologized to his fans for the controversy and announced that he would be taking a break from social media.

In 2020, Shakib Khan married actress and model Shabnam Bubly in a private ceremony in Dhaka. The couple has since been seen together at various public events and have appeared in a few films together.

Charitable Work


Shakib Khan is known for his charitable work and philanthropy.
