Village Cooking Channel is an Indian YouTube channel created by means of a bunch of Chinna Veeramangalam children in 2018. Chinna Veeramangalam is a rural Village of Pudukottai district in Tamil Nadu. It’s the first Tamil youtube channel in South India to succeed in 10M subscribers. The channel has culinary professionals and younger graduates – Subramanian (M Phil in Trade), Murugesan, Periyathambi (Caterer), Tamilselvan, Ayyanar, Muthumanickam (Catering). For the successive 1 cr subscribers, they won the Diamond button from the YouTube platform. The channel came to limelight after the staff of Village Cooking Channel donated Rs. 10 Lakh for TN Leader Minister’s Public Reduction Fund (CMPRF) to assist the combat in opposition to COVID-19.

Background & Popularity –

Village Cooking Channel popularly known as VCC are known for their videos on traditional village food cooking in open fields. The channel is being run by family members consisting of brothers V. Subramanian (the cameraman), V. Ayyanar, V. Murugesan, their cousin T. Muthumanickam, their brother-in-law G. Tamilselvan and led by their grandfather and former chef M. Periyathambi. This channel was created in 2018. Within a short span of four years, the group has gained international recognition through their traditional cooking videos.
In early July, this Cooking Channel crossed the 10 million subscribers mark on YouTube. In the next fortnight, the channel attracted 1 million more subscribers – at last count, the channel had 11.6 million subscribers.
